Fifteen-year-old RD is repeating the eighth grade, planning to have an easy year, but after his grandmother walks out her boyfriend is no longer able to care for him, which leaves RD to fend for himself while avoiding being caught.

  1. This is a really good book. It is a little to young adultish to be a Newbery winner. Hopefully it will be a Prince winner. Loved it and I totally recomed it

  2. I loved this book. Sad, but really real,it puts life in perspective really well- too old parts have to do with gangs, girls and other issues. I made me feel really grateful for my life :).
