Peace Locomotion by Jacqueline Woodson
Through letters to his little sister, who is living in a different foster home, sixth-grader Lonnie, also known as "Locomotion," keeps a record of their lives while they are apart, describing his own foster family, including his foster brother who returns home after losing a leg in the Iraq War.

I love this author. Although I haven't gotten a chance to read this book yet (Miss P i know this doesn't count i just want everyone to know) I read feathers by JW too. It was so good even tho it was super short!!!!!!! i can't wait to read this book! If you already have PLEEZ try feathers it was crazy good! -LS
